NYSE To Open Trading At 12 noon Today

The New York Stock Exchange will open trading at 12 noon today. As announced earlier, the NYSE is postponing the start of trading in respect for the memorial service being held at the World Trade Center site.

Prior to The Opening Bell, NYSE Chairman and CEO Dick Grasso will introduce two minutes of silence, followed by "The Star-Spangled Banner" performed by NYPD Officer Daniel Rodriguez. The following guests will join Messrs. Rodriguez and Grasso for the bell ringing: Gov. George Pataki; Mayor Michael Bloomberg; former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani; SEC Chairman Harvey Pitt; Miguel A. Casiano, N.Y. Dept. of Sanitation;, Sharon A. Miller, Port Authority Police Dept.; Det. Richard Winwood, N.Y. Police Dept.; Jim Carney, Fire Dept. of N.Y., Engine 69; and Liz Cascio, N.Y. EMS.
