NYSE To Host International Small-Cap Conference

On Wednesday, April 30th, the New York Stock Exchange will host its first annual Small-Cap Conference for International Companies. "Making Connections" will assemble more than 25 NYSE-listed small-cap companies with analysts and investors interested in gaining insight in small-cap investments worldwide.

The conference will focus on disseminating information and enlightening investors on the opportunities generated by small-cap stocks of foreign companies. Advantages in this sector include the attractive valuation levels and the historical belief that small-cap companies are leaders as a market enters into economic recovery.

The day-long event will allow investors to meet with senior company executives in information sessions and one-on-one meetings. The diversified roster of non-U.S. companies include Gildan Activewear (NYSE: GIL), a Canadian-based manufacturer and marketer of sportswear; ICICI Bank Limited (NYSE: IBN), the second largest bank in India; and Core Laboratories (NYSE: CLB), a provider of reservoir-management services to the petroleum industry. In addition, The Honorable Nicholas F. Brady, Chairman of Darby Overseas Investments, Ltd. and former Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and Mr. Nicholas Bratt, Vice President of Global Investment Committee, Deutsche Bank Asset Management, will be the featured keynote speakers.
