NYSE To Commemorate 1st Anniversary Of September 11 With Moment Of Silence, Delayed Opening And Plaque Unveiling

The Opening Bell to be rung by Governor Pataki, Mayor Bloomberg, former Mayor Giuliani, SEC Chairman Harvey Pitt and representatives from NYPD, FDNY, Dept. of Sanitation, EMS and PAPD NYSE to Commemorate 1st Anniversary of September 11

EVENT:

The New York Stock Exchange will commemorate the anniversary of the September 11 tragedy with a delayed opening following the memorial service at Ground Zero. The market will open for trading 30 minutes following the service, but not before 11 a.m.

Prior to The Opening Bell, NYSE Chairman Dick Grasso will introduce 2 minutes of silence, followed by The National Anthem performed by NYPD officer Daniel Rodriguez.
