New York Stock Exchange member firms that conduct business with the public reported a second-quarter 2011 after-tax profit of $2.1 billion and revenues of $39.7 billion, compared with a $6.1 billion after-tax gain on revenues of $46.0 billion in the first-quarter of 2011.
