NYSE Group, Inc. Shareholders Elect Directors - 10 Incumbent Directors Re-Elected, One New Director Added Independent Auditor Selected

At the NYSE Group, Inc. annual shareholders meeting held today in New York, the following directors were re-elected: Marshall N. Carter, John A. Thain, Ellyn L. Brown, William E. Ford, Shirley Ann Jackson, James S. McDonald, James J. McNulty, Alice M. Rivlin, Robert B. Shapiro, and Karl M. von der Heyden. Joining the NYSE Group Board of Directors is newly elected Duncan M. McFarland, retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Wellington Management Company. Mr. Thain became Chief Executive Officer in January 2004 and Mr. Carter has served as Chairman since April 2005.

Shareholders also ratified the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as the Company's independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2006.
