Date 13/10/2006

NYSE Group, Inc. (NYSE: NYX) today announced at the Security Traders Association (STA) Conference that it has entered into discussions with NASD to create a trade reporting facility serving NYSE Group customers reporting off-exchange trades in all listed NMS stocks.

“The NYSE Group is dedicated to offering our customers the most diverse array of products and services,” said Jerry Putnam, NYSE Group President and co-COO. “For customers seeking a reliable and competitively priced venue to report internally executed transactions, our trade reporting facility will be a low-cost, high-value option.”

To be launched in early 2007, NYSE Group’s planned trade reporting facility will conform to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) recent approval of NASD’s new trade reporting arrangement.
