NYSE Euronext Announces 2010 Annual Meeting Shareholder Vote Results And Names André Bergen And Jackson P. Tai To Its Board Of Directors

At the company’s annual meeting yesterday, NYSE Euronext (NYX) shareholders elected the full slate of 16 directors to its Board, ratified the appointment of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as the company’s independent registered public accounting firm for 2010, rejected a non-binding shareholder proposal to institute certificated shares and approved a non-binding shareholder proposal to adopt a simple majority vote requirement for certain items submitted for shareholder approval in the company’s charter and bylaws.  

NYSE Euronext also announced today that André Bergen, former Chief Executive Officer of KBC Group, and Jackson P. Tai, former Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of DBS Group Holdings Ltd., were named as independent members of the company’s Board of Directors.

Mr. Bergen has extensive experience in the banking and financial services industry where he has held senior leadership roles. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of KBC Group from 2006 to 2009. For more details click here: http://www.nyse.com/corpgovernance/1272537157188.html

Mr. Tai has nearly three decades of experience in financial services where he has held leadership roles in major banking and financial services organizations. He most recently served as Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of DBS Group Holdings Ltd. from June 2002 to December 2007.
