Previously, Mrs. Mysliwiec, who joined the NYSE in February 1988 as vice president, Enforcement, served as senior vice president, Market Surveillance division since June 2000. In her new role, Mrs. Mysliwiec will be responsible for supporting the chief regulatory officer in completing key strategic initiatives. She will serve as Mr. Ketchum’s representative in NYSE Regulation’s Strategic Risk Assessment Initiative, which will include representatives from Member Firm Regulation, Market Surveillance and Enforcement.
“Regina will play a central role in Regulation's efforts to identify and complete strategic initiatives that further contribute to our goals of protecting the investing public, providing the highest quality regulatory environment, and ensuring the integrity of the NYSE marketplace,” Mr. Ketchum said. “As my representative in Regulation's Strategic Risk Assessment Initiative, Regina will oversee risk assessment activities to allow NYSE Regulation to more quickly react to industry trends and new regulatory challenges as well as coordinating technology priorities across the division.”
Prior to joining the New York Stock Exchange, Mrs. Mysliwiec was regional counsel for the SEC New York Regional Office. In that capacity, she was responsible for investigation and enforcement of federal securities laws in the New York region. In addition, she held various other positions at the SEC between 1974 and 1988. A graduate of Fordham University, Mrs. Mysliwiec received her J.D. from the University of Virginia and has completed the Program for Management Development at the Harvard Graduate School of Business. She is a member of the Federal Bar Council and the Bar Association of the City of New York and, in 1990, was honored by the YWCA Academy of Women Achievers. Mrs. Mysliwiec, and her husband, Ron, have three children and reside in Brooklyn, NY.
