NYSE Appoints Michael Ferraro As Senior Vice President, Controller

The New York Stock Exchange has appointed Michael Ferraro as Senior Vice President, Controller, Corporate Finance effective May 24. Mr. Ferraro will report to Amy Butte, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, Corporate Finance.

Mr. Ferraro will be responsible for the Controllers Department and the newly created Business Unit Controllers Group, which will serve as designated financial officers to various business units of the Exchange. Mr. Ferraro is the latest in a series of executive appointments in the Finance Department, which is reorganizing under Ms. Butte in order to better meet the changing needs of the Exchange and its internal and external constituents.

“Mike’s addition to the corporate finance team builds upon the great progress we’ve already made in advancing the depth, experience and capability of the group,” Ms. Butte said. “In addition to exceptional financial and analytical skills, Mike is a proven team builder and leader. This, coupled with his knowledge of the industry, will enable us to meet our objectives and address the challenges that lie ahead.”

Mr. Ferraro joins the NYSE from Lehman Brothers, where he was most recently Vice President, Controller, Lehman Brothers Bank FSB. He joined Lehman in 1990 and has held various positions within the finance department. Prior to Lehman, Mr. Ferraro was a part of Deloitte, Haskins and Sells, now Deloitte and Touche.

Mr. Ferraro graduated from Baruch College in 1986 and is a CPA.
