NYSE Appoints Colin G. Clark Vice President, Competitive Analysis

The New York Stock Exchange Board of Directors today appointed Colin G. Clark as vice president, Competitive Analysis. Mr. Clark, 35, reports to Robert J. McSweeney, senior vice president, Competitive Position.

As vice president, Competitive Analysis, Mr. Clark is responsible for creating profiles on the NYSE’s competitors, developing competitive models and providing competitive data analysis. His team will work with the Exchange’s buy- and sell-side teams to analyze trends and create support data for the NYSE’s management and Advisory Committees. His group will also be responsible for helping the NYSE migrate from ITS to NMS linkage.

“Colin's strong analytical background and in-depth knowledge of the securities industry will contribute significantly to enhancing our competitive position,” said Mr. McSweeney. “Through the analysis of execution services and trends across the industry, in conjunction with feedback from our customers, his team will provide insights as to how we can evolve our products and services to respond to customer needs and continue to differentiate the NYSE's market quality from that of our competitors.”

Mr. Clark was most recently a vice president at Merrill Lynch, where he covered securities markets, trading platforms and brokerage firms as equity analyst. His responsibilities included written buy/sell recommendations, financial modeling, valuation and communication with institutional investors. Prior to this, Mr. Clark worked for Citigroup/Salomon Smith Barney in a similar role.

Mr. Clark majored in Economics at Bard College and has an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University. Mr. Clark is a registered CFA.
