Under the terms of the MOU, the NYSE and JSX agreed to work together on the further development of both marketplaces and assist each other in the maintenance of fair and orderly markets.

Carter. “We look forward to advancing our partnership with the Jakarta Stock Exchange as well as listed and prospect companies from Indonesia, a fast-growing economy and an increasingly important country for global investors. This agreement will benefit investors and the financial-services industry in Indonesia and the U.S.”
Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono witnessed the signing ceremony at the NYSE today, offering his congratulations to both exchanges.
“We are very pleased that the Jakarta Stock Exchange and the NYSE have agreed to cooperate with each other in a more formal way,” said Jakarta Stock Exchange President-Director Erry Firmansyah. “We look forward to extending our relationship with the NYSE, the world’s largest equities market, and enhance the international standing of the Jakarta Stock Exchange with global investors.”
