Nymex Will Decrease Position Limits For Platinum Futures

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., will decrease the position limit on its spot month platinum futures contract to 200 contracts from 700 at the close of business on December 30.

However, any participant exceeding that position in the spot month will be able to retain that position level until the January 2004 contract terminates.
