Nymex To Move Propane Trading; Change Hours

The New York Mercantile Exchange today announced that as of Wednesday, March 1, it will move trading in its propane futures contract to its platinum group metals ring and change the contract's trading hours to 8:30 A.M. to 2:40 P.M. from the current hours of 8:55 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Exchange President R Patrick Thompson said, "This move will allow us to provide a pool of experienced traders who can provide greater attention to this long-standing Exchange contract." Propane futures are currently traded in the natural gas futures ring. Other products traded in the platinum group metals ring include platinum futures and options and palladium futures. Propane will continue to be traded after-hours electronically on NYMEX ACCESS® from 5 to 7 P.M. Mondays through Thursdays.
