PJM monthly electricity futures, currently listed through December 2004, will be extended through December 2005. The additional months will be listed at the start of after-hours trading on NYMEX ClearPortsm at 3:15 PM on July 24.
Exchange President J. Robert Collins, Jr., said, "The growing activity and open interest of nearly 6,000 contracts in the PJM monthly electricity futures contract, which launched on April 11, demonstrates the need by market participants for the price transparency of the Exchange and the financial security of its clearinghouse in seeking to manage their price risk in this market."
