Nymex To Increase Margins For Coal Futures

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., announced today that it will increase the margins on its coal futures contract at the close of business on June 1.

Margins for all months will increase to $3,500 from $2,750 for clearing members, to $3,850 from $3,025 for members, and to $4,725 from $3,713 for customers.
