Nymex To Increase Margins For Aluminum And Platinum Futures

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., will increase the margins on its aluminum and platinum futures contracts at the close of business tomorrow.

The margins for all months of aluminum futures will increase to $1,500 from $1,000 for clearing members and members, and to $2,025 from $1,350 for customers.

The margins for all months of platinum futures will increase to $2,000 from $1,600 for clearing members, to $2,200 from $1,760 for members, and to $2,700 from $2,160 for customers.
