The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. announced today that it will change margins for its platinium and Asian platinum futures contracts, effective at the close of business tomorrow.
Platinium futures margins will increase to $3,750 from $3,000 for clearing members, to $4,125 from $3,300 for members, and to $5,063 from $4,050 for customers.
Margins for the Asian platinum futures contract will increase to $1,206 from $965 for clearing members, to $1,327 from $1,061 for members, and to $1,628 from $1,432 for customers.
