NYMEX Sets Volume Record For Light, Sweet Crude Oil Calendar Spread Options Contract

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., announced that a record 20,350 light, sweet crude oil calendar spread options contracts were traded November 1, surpassing the previous record of 12,600 contracts traded on November 11, 2004.

President James E. Newsome said "This recent record indicates the continued confidence of the energy industries in our products, infrastructure and method of trading."
