Nymex Sets Volume Record For e-miNY<SUP>sm</SUP> Crude Oil Futures Contracts

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., today announced that a record 21,572 e-miNY^sm futures contracts were traded on June 2, surpassing the previous record of 19,529 contracts set on May 4.

e-miNY^sm crude oil futures contracts hit a record high of 19,645 contracts traded on June 2, exceeding the record high of 17,875 contracts set on May 4.

Exchange President James E. Newsome said, "These recent records indicate market participants' continued reliance on our markets and trading platforms as an efficient and secure way of managing risk."
