The overnight record is the third in silver this month. During the April 2 session, 4,414 silver futures contracts were traded, surpassing the previous record of 3,856 contracts traded during the overnight session of February 26.
Exchange President J. Robert Collins, Jr., said, "The escalating records demonstrate the value that the round–the–clock availability of the Exchange provides to market participants, especially during periods of strong market activity such as our metals markets are currently experiencing."
