The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. announced today that it set daily volume records for its NYMEX miNYTM crude oil and heating oil futures contracts on July 7.
The NYMEX miNY crude oil futures reached 75,682 contracts, exceeding the 74,328 contracts traded on June 21.
Volume for the NYMEX miNY heating oil futures was of 4,792 contracts, topping the 3,978 contracts traded on June 26.
James E. Newsome, NYMEX president and chief executive officer, said, "We are very pleased with the continued growth of the NYMEX miNY complex."
