NYMEX Sets Daily Volume Records For COMEX Futures And Options Contracts

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., a subsidiary of NYMEX Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: NMX), today announced that it set daily volume records on total COMEX volume and COMEX futures contracts this week.

Total COMEX futures and options reached 401,240 contracts on November 7, surpassing the 367,982 contracts traded on September 28, 1999.

On the same day, COMEX futures contracts totaled 346,456 contracts, exceeding the 319,619 contracts traded on July 26.
