Nymex Names Nachamah Jacobovits Senior V.P. Of Corporate Communications

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., has promoted Nachamah Jacobovits to senior vice president of corporate communications.

Ms. Jacobovits, who was the Exchange's vice president of corporate communications, has worked for the Exchange for 13 years. She oversees media relations; advertising; the Exchange website; editorial services, including speeches and publications; production of print and audio-visual materials; and all other forms of dissemination of public information.

Ms. Jacobovits is the secretary and board member of the New York Mercantile Exchange Charitable Assistance Fund, a public charity set up late last year to raise funds for World Trade Center victims affiliated with the Exchange. She is also the staff liason to the Exchange's Charitable Foundation.

Ms. Jacobovits holds a bachelor of arts degree in mass communications from Towson State University in Maryland. Immediately prior to joining the Exchange, Ms. Jacobovits was manager of communications for UJA-Federation following several other public relations positions in the non-profit field. Other positions she has held with the Exchange include manager of media relations and direction of corporate communications.
