Nymex Increases Margins For Coal And Propane Futures Contracts

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., will increase the margins for its Central Appalachian coal and propane futures contracts at the close of business on Monday.

Margins for the Central Appalachian coal futures contract will increase to $1,750 from $1,000 for clearing members, to $1,925 from $1,100 for members, and to $2,363 from $1,350 for customers.

Margins for the propane futures contract will increase to $1,750 from $1,500 for clearing members, to $1,925 from $1,650 for members, and to $2,363 from $2,025 for customers.
