Nymex Increases Expiration Position Limits For Some Natural Gas Basis Swap Futures And PJM Electricity Futures

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., yesterday increased the expiration position limits for some of its natural gas basis swap futures contracts and PJM electricity futures contracts.

The position limits for the last three days of trading in the Transco Zone 6 and Texas Eastern Transmission Zone M–3 natural gas basis swap futures increase to 1,500 from 500 contracts, those for the Columbia Transmission Appalachia TCO basis swap increase to 2,500 from 1,000 contracts, and Dominion Transmission Appalachian basis swap futures position limits increase to 2,000 from 1,000 contracts. These limits are aggregated with positions in the natural gas futures contract.

Expiration position limits for the financially settled PJM electricity monthly, weekly, and daily futures contracts increase to 3,000 contracts from 500 contracts, aggregated across the monthly, weekly, and daily contracts.
