The Board of Directors of NYMEX Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: NMX), the parent company of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. (NYMEX), has set May 20, 2008, as the date for the company's annual meeting of stockholders. The meeting will be held at its New York headquarters at One North End Avenue, at 3:00 PM Eastern Time. The directors also have set March 24, 2008, as the record date for determination of stockholders entitled to vote at the annual meeting either in person or by proxy.
NYMEX will send a definitive proxy statement to stockholders of record, which will contain important information about the meeting and the matters to be considered. Stockholders are urged to read the proxy statement when it becomes available.
This meeting of stockholders is not related to the recently announced proposed transaction with CME Group. As previously announced, such proposed transaction will be the subject of a subsequent special meeting of stockholders.
