NYMEX ClearPort® Clearing Sets Daily Volume Record

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. today announced a daily volume record for NYMEX ClearPort clearing.

NYMEX ClearPort cleared 972,251 contracts, surpassing the previous record of 417,431contracts set on May 24.

James E. Newsome, NYMEX President and Chief Executive Officer, said, "This record is especially meaningful to us as it occurred on the fourth anniversary of the launch of NYMEX ClearPort. This dynamic clearing platform continues to provide energy market participants with a reliable means of risk mitigation."
