NYMEX Board Votes To Install Surveillance Cameras On Trading Floor

The board of directors of NYMEX Holdings, Inc., approved the installation of surveillance cameras as well as policies for their use on the trading floors of both its NYMEX and COMEX Divisions. Details of the policies will follow, and implementation is expected during the first quarter of 2006.

Exchange President James E. Newsome said, "We are pleased with the board's proactive decision to further enhance the integrity and transparency of our fair and competitive marketplace. This initiative is consistent with our global strategy to provide the same measure of faith in our markets as we are expanding open outcry trading into Europe, the Middle East, and Asia."
