The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. today announced margins for the 23 new swap futures contacts that will launch on NYMEX ClearPort, beginning on July 8 for trade date July 9.
Margins for the Gulf Coast gasoline (Argus) calendar swap futures contract will be $6,000 for clearing member, $6,600 for members, and $8,100 for customers. Margins for the Gulf Coast ULSD (Argus) calendar swap, RBOB (Platts) calendar swap, Los Angeles CARBOB (OPIS) spread swap, Los Angeles CARB diesel (OPIS) spread swap, Gulf Coast gasoline crack spread (Argus) swap, and Japan C&F naphtha crack spread (Platts) swap futures contracts will be $4,500 for clearing members, $4,950 for members, and $6,075 for customers. Margins for the Gulf Coast jet (Argus) calendar swap and Gulf Coast ULSD crack spread (Argus) swap futures contracts will be $3,500 for clearing members, $3,850 for members, and $4,725 for customers. Margins for the Los Angeles CARB diesel (OPIS) outright swap, Los Angeles jet (OPIS) outright swap, Los Angeles jet (OPIS) spread swap, and New York ethanol (Platts) swap futures contracts will be $4,000 for clearing members, $4,400 for members, and $5,400 for customers. Margins for the Mt. Belvieu propane (OPIS) swap and gasoline up-down (Argus) swap futures contracts will be $1,500 for clearing members, $1,650 for members, and $2,025 for customers. Margins for the European gasoil bullet swap futures contract will be $30,000 for clearing members, $33,000 for members, and $40,500 for customers. Margins for the European propane CIF ARA (Argus) swap futures contract will be $37,000 for clearing members, $40,700 for members, and $49,950 for customers. Margins for the Japan C&F naphtha (Platts) swap futures contract will be $25,500 for clearing members, to $28,050 for members, and to $34,425 for customers. Margins for the ULSD up-down (Argus) swap RBOB (Platts) vs. NYMEX RBOB spread swap, and New York ULSD (Platts) vs. NYMEX heating oil spread swap futures contracts will be $2,000 for clearing members, $2,200 for members, and $2,700 for customers. Margins for the jet up-down (Argus) swap and Chicago ethanol (Platts) swap futures contracts is $3,000 for clearing members, $3,300 for members, and $4,050 for customers.
