NYMEX Announces Alternate Settlement Procedure For October 2005 Henry Hub Swing Swap Futures Contract

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., announced today that will delay issuing a final settlement price for its October 2005 Henry Hub swing swap contract. Due to the force majeure declaration at the Henry Hub facility in Louisiana, the October 3, 2005, Platts Gas Daily did not publish a price for flow dates October 1 to 3 for the Henry Hub.

Settlements for these and any other days on which Platts does not publish a price will be based on an average of all flow days in October 2005. These settlement prices will be published on October 31.
