For the futures, 141,829 contracts became the new open interest high on June 14, 2004, replacing the previous record of 136,659 contracts set on June 10, 2004.
The Russell 1000 Index options contract also reached a record on June 15, 2004, with an open interest of 15,466 contracts, surpassing the earlier high of 15,004 contracts from June 14, 2004.
