NYBOT'S Coffee "C" Futures Contract On Record-Breaking Streak

The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT®) announced today that it's Coffee "C" Futures contract set yet another Open Interest record of 78,501 contracts on Friday, October 25, 2002. The new record replaces two recent Coffee "C" records of 77,714 contracts, set on Thursday, October 24, 2002, and 76,224 contracts set on Wednesday, October 23, 2002.

NYBOT's Coffee "C" contract has five delivery months including March, May, July, September, and December. Each contract is for roughly 250 bags (or 37,500 pounds) of exchange-certified washed arabica coffee grown in nineteen countries throughout the world, such as Colombia, Guatemala and Kenya.
