NYBOT'S Coffee "C" Futures And Cocoa Options Contracts Set New Records

The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT®) announced today that it's Coffee "C" Futures contract set another new Open Interest record of 76,224 contracts set on October 23, 2002, replacing the previous Coffee "C" record of 75,800 contracts set on Thursday, October 17, 2002. Additionally, NYBOT's Cocoa Options contract also set a new record on October 18, 2002, of 96,054 contracts, replacing the previous Cocoa Options record of 92,803 contracts set on October 1, 2002.

NYBOT's Coffee "C" contract has a ticker symbol of "KC" and has five delivery months including March, May, July, September, and December. Each contract is for roughly 250 bags (or 37,500 pounds) of washed arabica coffee.

NYBOT's Cocoa contract, which has a ticker symbol of "CC", also has five delivery months such as March, May, July, September and December. The contract is 10 metric tons (or 22,046 pounds) of cocoa.
