Date 08/08/2003

Users of the New York Board of Trade® (NYBOT®) markets and the general public now have a new place to go to for timely, relevant and interesting commodity research and market analysis reports, as well as basic and advanced educational materials. The multiple reports are produced by a variety of industry professionals and market analysts who offer a broad range of market views covering many of the NYBOT contract markets. All the reports can be accessed for free by going to nybot.com and clicking on the "Research Reports" link on the homepage under the heading "NYBOT Services."

Joseph J. O'Neill, Senior Executive Vice President at NYBOT, said "One of the exchange's goals is to be at the fore-front of providing our market users and the curious public with quality information about our markets. We felt that there was a strong need to provide the soft commodities industry with additional research reporting, analysis, and educational materials, which we are now very pleased to offer. Our new research section has insightful papers and reports from respected analysts and experts in the industry, as well as a wealth of educational material, and we believe it will soon become a trusted resource to both new users as well as seasoned veterans."

Two of the newest research reports highlight the NYBOT softs markets (cocoa, coffee, cotton, FCOJ and sugar). These reports are produced by two independent research firms: J. Ganes Consulting, headed by well known soft commodities analyst Judy Chase Ganes, who was at Merrill Lynch for many years; and CPM Group, a New York commodities consulting firm, featuring the work of analysts who have advised the World Bank and other international institutions. The reports are entitled "Softs Weekly Round-Up" by Judy Ganes and "CPM Soft Commodities News" by Jeffrey Christian, respectively.
