NYMEX expressed a willingness to begin working as soon as possible toward that end. However, it was agreed that due to a lack of knowledge about the compatibility of the NYBOT and NYMEX systems, and NYBOT's having a backup facility in Long Island City, the two parties will sit down within the next two weeks when both exchanges' markets have had an opportunity tobegin functioning normally. Both exchanges will initially be trading on shortened hours; (Trading Schedules are posted on the web sites).
At the meeting, Mr. Viola reiterated NYMEX's firm commitment to bring NYBOT members and NYBOT'S products over to the NYMEX trading facility as quickly as possible.
