NYBOT Announces Revised Trading Schedule For Its New Trading FloorThe New York Board of Trade® (NYBOT®) announced today new trading hours for its trading facility in the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) building. The new hours are effective with the opening of NYBOT's new trading floor, which is scheduled for September 2003.

The new trading hours are as follows (NY time):

  • Sugar No. 11: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm (unchanged from current hours)
  • Sugar No. 14: 8:50 am to 11:58 am (unchanged from current hours)
  • Coffee "C": 8:50 am to 12:15 pm
  • Cocoa: 8:00 am to 11:50 am (unchanged from current hours)
  • FCOJ: 9:45 am to 1:45 pm
  • Cotton: 10:30 am to 2:15 pm
Trading hours for all NYBOT financial products, which will remain unchanged from the current hours, are as follows:
  • USDX and currency pairs: 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm; 3:00 am to 3:00 pm
  • Reuters CRB and SPCI Indexes: 10:00 am to 2:45 pm
  • NYSE Composite Index and Russell 1000 Indexes: 9:30 am to 4:15 pm
NYBOT's facilities were located in Four World Trade Center and were totally destroyed in the September 11th terrorist attacks. The NYBOT's exchanges have since been operating on an abbreviated trading schedule out of its backup site in Long Island City, Queens, New York. The new trading hours more closely resemble those of the original hours. The NYBOT's new trading facility is currently under construction at the New York Mercantile Exchange Building at the World Financial Center in Downtown Manhattan.
