NYBOT Announces Reminder Of Change To Listed Exchange For Sugar No. 11 Contract

Date 17/09/2004

On June 10 of this year, the merger of the Coffee, Sugar and Cocoa Exchange, Inc. and the New York Cotton Exchange was completed. With the completion of the merger, all products that had previously been listed on and subject to the Rules of both of the predecessor exchanges became listed on and subject to the Rules of the New York Board of Trade® (NYBOT®).

As part of that process, new NYBOT Rules were adopted for each contract, including the Sugar No. 11 futures contract, which replicate the terms and conditions that existed in the CSCE or NYCE Rule book.

With specific regard to the Sugar No. 11 futures contract, cash market practice has often included an adoption into cash contracts of Sugar No. 11 terms, by reference. Cash market participants should be aware that the terms and conditions of the Sugar No. 11 futures contract are now contained in the NYBOT Rulebook, and that these NYBOT Rules have replaced the prior CSCE Rules.

Copies of current Sugar No. 11 Rules can always be found on the Exchange website, at www.nybot.com/rulebooks.

The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT) is New York’s original futures exchange, where the world trades food, fiber and financial products. For well over a century, the New York Board of Trade has provided reliability, integrity and security in a global marketplace for cocoa, coffee, cotton, ethanol, orange juice and sugar, as well as currency and index futures and options. Information about the New York Board of Trade can be found at www.nybot.com and www.nybotlive.com.
