NVIDIA Corporation To Join The Nasdaq-100 Index Beginning May 31, 2001

NVIDIA® Corporation (Nasdaq:NVDA), of Santa Clara, California, will become a component of the Nasdaq-100 Index® (Nasdaq:NDX), effective at the beginning of trading Thursday, May 31, 2001. NVIDIA will also be included in the Nasdaq-100 Index Tracking StockSM (Amex:QQQ). NVIDIA Corporation will replace VoiceStream Wireless Corporation (Nasdaq:VSTR), which is being acquired by Deutsche Telekom AG.

With a market capitalization of over $6.3 billion, NVIDIA Corporation is a leader in advanced graphics and multimedia processing technology for the consumer and professional computing markets. Its 3D graphics processors represent some of the most complex semiconductors in production today. With the rapid adoption of its products in desktop PCs, mobile PCs, workstations and video game consoles, NVIDIA has become one of the fastest growing semiconductor companies.

The Nasdaq-100 Index, launched in January 1985, has risen over 48 percent in the past three years, although past performance is not necessarily indicative of future performance and Index performance does not represent the performance of the Nasdaq-100 Index Tracking Stock. The Nasdaq-100 Index Tracking Stock represents ownership in the Nasdaq-100 Trust.
