The transactions in share products were up 12.6% year-to-date, considering the total number as well as the average daily number of transactions. 11,365,510 transactions were registered since January, representing a daily average of 507,136 transactions.
The total turnover in shares through Euronext electronic orderbook amounted €112 billion in November. The total turnover in shares is nevertheless down by 7.3% year-to-date, as well as the average daily turnover, considering market conditions.
European leader for Trackers (ETF), Euronext holds in November an approximative 49% market share, with a total turnover of €2.7 billion representing a daily average of €129.4 million.
The Euronext 100 blue chip index and the Next 150 index were respectively up by 6% and 5.1% on October 2002.
As of 29 November 2002, the market capitalisation of the 1,492 companies listed on Euronext markets totalled €1,598 billion.
