On September 19th, in conjunction with the IPO of Alibaba, the NGM exchange were able to offer new investment products with the company as underlying asset to the Swedish investors. The products were listed by Commerzbank and due to the large interest in Sweden investment products are now launched on the Finish and Norwegian markets as well. From today, Wednesday September 24th, Finish and Norwegian investors can gain exposure to the company through Mini Futures BEST.
The fast-growing Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba did a record IPO on the American Stock Exchange on Friday, September 19th, and trades sky-rocketed. In conjunction with Alibaba’s first day of trading, NGM – as the first stock exchange in Sweden – could offer Swedish investors the opportunity to trade in new investment products with Alibaba as underlying asset. The range was Bull & Bear-certificates and Mini Futures BEST, listed by Commerzbank. Interest in the products were record high, which means that from today, September 24, the NGM exchange will offer trade in investment products with Alibaba as underlying for Finnish and Norwegian investors as well.
- Alibaba was the third most popular underlying asset at NGM on Monday (September 22) and the number of trades was record high compared to the number of trades we usually see when new products are listed. We are pleased to be able to offer exposure to Alibaba to Finnish and Norwegian investors as well now, says Tommy Fransson, vice president of NGM.
Commerzbank waits excitedly to see how the Finnish and Norwegian markets will receive the new investment products.
- Due to the large interest and the movement in the Alibaba share during the first day of trading we will be launching 8 Mini Futures BEST - 4 Mini LONG and 4 Mini SHORT – in Finland tomorrow and 12 Mini Futures BEST – 6 Mini LONG and 6 Mini SHORT – in Norway. The interest was large on the Swedish market and it will be exciting to see how the Finish and Norwegian investors react to this, says Peter Olsson, Country Manager Scandinavia at Commerzbank.
