Noranda Inc. (US) Name, Share And IWF Change In The S&P ADR Indices

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P ADR Indices effective after the close of business on Wednesday, May 11, 2005:
  • Noranda Inc. (US) (Canada, NYSE: NRD, CUSIP: 655422103, Sedol: 2771791) recently completed its purchase of Falconbridge shares. As a result of this transaction, the company’s name will change to NorandaFalconbridge Inc., the shares will increase to 337,377,496 from 296,967,421 and the IWF will change to 0.7794.
Company additions to and deletions from an S&P equity index do not in any way reflect an opinion on the investment merits of the company.
