Executive Chairman of Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange, Dato' Mohd Azlan Hashim said the appointment is in-line with the re-organisation of the exchange as part of its on-going effort to demutualise.
"Dato' Noorazman's experience and expertise in the banking and financial markets in Malaysia and internationally will bring an expanded perspective to the KLSE team in its effort to demutualise the exchange," he said.
As Chief Operating Officer, Noorazman will be responsible for the commercial operations of the exchange. On his appointment, Noorazman said KLSE is at a significant phase of its development.
"I am indeed honoured by this appointment by the Minister of Finance.
"KLSE is at a stage of formulating strategic initiatives to be a more progressive, more competitive exchange. In joining the KLSE team, we will work together towards achieving this objective.
"In respect of this, we need the continued support and co-operation of the Government, the Ministry of Finance, Securities Commission, industry and market participants and KLSE Group staff to ensure the continued growth and success of KLSE," Noorazman said
