NFEx Markets –New Appointments And Other Updates

NFEx Markets, the new London-based market for base metals trading, is pleased to announce two senior appointments with effect from the beginning of October.

Christopher Evans joins NFEx Markets as Commercial Director.  Mr Evans was formerly Project Director for Price Benchmarking at Rusal (Zug) and, prior to this, Head of Business Development at LME from 2008 to 2013.  He was Editor, Non-Ferrous at Metal Bulletin, 2003-2008.

Jason Kay has become Special Consultant to NFEx Markets during the design phase of the trading platform.  A consultant and fin-tech project manager at Autilla, Mr Kay was formerly a Base and Precious Metals Trader at RBC, 2014 to 2016 and prior to that held senior positions at Deutsche Bank and Bank of America where he was Head of Base Metals Trading between 2008 and 2013.

OTHER UPDATES

From the beginning of September, NFEx Markets Ltd has been operating from new offices in the City of London, on Carter Lane London EC4.

This release also confirms NFEx Markets Ltd has formally announced its Board of Directors:

Non-executive Chairman - Jim Coupland.  Until March 2015, Mr Coupland was Co-Head of Commodities at Standard Bank plc.  He also served as a non-executive director of the London Metal Exchange from 1991 until 1993 and from April 2005 until December 2015.

Chief Operating Officer – Mark Bradley.  Before joining NFEx Markets, Mr Bradley was a member of the Asia Management Committee of Mercuria Energy Trading Pte.  Prior to this he had over a decade of experience in the Metals industry working previously as a Research Analyst at ED&F Man and as Head of Market Surveillance at the LME.

Non-executive Director – Mike Greenacre.  Mr Greenacre is the Founder and CEO of Autilla Limited, a fin-tech company founded in 2013 and specialised in creating new trading tools designed to enhance transparency and provide regulatory conformity with a particular focus on precious and base metals.

Martin Abbott, former CEO of the London Metal Exchange has been appointed as a senior advisor to the Board.
