The event will take place at the stock exchange building in Paris (Palais Brongniart). Already over 150 French, Belgian and Dutch companies in the two Euronext segments have announced plans to participate. These businesses will have an opportunity to present their operations to institutional investors from all over Europe -- fund managers, portfolio managers, buy-side analysts and private equity fund managers.
The aim is twofold: issuers will be able to meet the several hundred European investors expected to attend, while investors will get a closer look at Euronext equities likely to match their investment strategies.
Altogether 250 companies belong to NextEconomy and NextPrime since the segments were launched on 1 January 2002. This corresponds to nearly one-quarter of all domestic companies listed on regulated markets operated by Euronext Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris. The success of these segments is founded on investor demands for a steady flow of in-depth financial information and the efforts of listed companies, particularly medium-size businesses, to raise their profile with institutional investors.
