New York Stock Exchange To Continue Trading Halt Of Refco Inc.

The New York Stock Exchange (“NYSE”) announced today that, in view of the recent events announced by Refco Inc. (the “Company”) – ticker symbol RFX – it will continue the trading halt in the Company’s common stock while it evaluates the need for further disclosure and the continued listing of the Company. The trading halt will continue until this evaluation is complete. Trading may or may not resume as the NYSE may, at any time, suspend a security if it believes continued dealings in the security on the NYSE are not advisable.
