New York Mercantile Exchange To Increase Margins On Aluminum Futures Contracts

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., will increase the margins on its aluminum futures contract at the close of business on Monday to $1,500 from $1,250 for clearing members and members and to $2,025 from $1,688 for customers.

Inter-exchange spread margins between the COMEX Division aluminum contract and the one traded on the London Metal Exchange will increase to $1,000 from $750 for clearing members and members and to $1,350 from $1,013 for customers.
