The heating oil/crude oil crack spread options contract will be expanded to 18 consecutive months and the gasoline/crude oil crack spread options contract will be expanded to 12 consecutive months, from the six consecutive months plus two quarterly months currently listed for both contracts.
The heating oil/crude oil crack spread options contract will initially be listed through October 2005 and the gasoline/crude oil crack spread options contract will be listed through April 2005.
Exchange President J. Robert Collins, Jr., said, "Since their launch in 1994, these contracts have increasingly grown in popularity in tandem with the sophistication of our market users. We are pleased to be able to expand the availability of these products to provide additional and longer term risk management and arbitrage opportunities."
