New York Mercantile Exchange Sets Silver Record on NYMEX ACCESS®

The New York Mercantile Exchange traded a record 9,346 silver contracts on its NYMEX ACCESS® electronic trading platform on April 11, surpassing the previous record of 8,683 contracts set on April 21, 2004.

Exchange President and Chief Executive Officer James E. Newsome said, "We are pleased that the metals industry continues to rely on the COMEX silver contract for its risk management needs."
