New York Mercantile Exchange Sets Record Volume On NYMEX ClearPort®

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., announced that 286,146 contracts were posted for clearing yesterday on the NYMEX ClearPort® clearing platform. The record surpassed the 260,394 contracts cleared on August 31.

Exchange President James E. Newsome said "We are pleased to once again be able to confirm that the futures industry recognizes the role of the Exchange for liquidity, efficiency, and price discovery during periods of heightened risk management need."
