Mr. Bentson joined the Exchange as director of systems and operations last June. In December, he assumed the role of director of technical operations when he took over the responsibility for the back office LAN/WAN system infrastructure and network operations.
Prior to joining the Exchange, Mr. Bentson worked with Prodigy Communications for 16 years as a programmer/analyst and then as director of network operations.
Mr. Bentson has received a number of awards for his work in the field, including the circle of excellence award in June 1999, the president's award in 1998 and the vice president's award in 1992 from the information technology group at Prodigy.
He holds a bachelor's degree in computer information systems from Springfield College in Massachusetts, with a business management minor.
Mr. Bentson and his wife, Doreen, have three children, Mathew, Mark and Nicole. They reside in Brewster, New York.
